About

Victoria Bee is a Baltimore based trumpet player, band leader, and arranger who enjoys freelancing and the diverse opportunities that it brings. She plays many musical styles including swing, classical, and free improvisation. Victoria plays regularly with The Bachelor Boys for weddings and events. She has also played with The Screaming Art Large Ensemble, a local Baltimore band, as well as with The Creative Music Consortium, The Henchmen, The Skluttz, and the Beauty Pill Orchestra.

Currently, Victoria is spearheading two upcoming projects, one of which is her funk band, Hard Boiled. The band will feature everything from classic covers of the 1970’s to original compositions. Victoria’s other venture is a monthly swing dance band, inspired by music from the 1920’s.

Victoria received her B.A. in Jazz/Commercial Trumpet Performance from Towson University. She studied with Dave Ballou and Jim McFalls, as well as with other faculty there including Sarah Jones, Brent Madsen, Jeff Reed, and John Dieker.

A passionate educator, Victoria enjoys teaching students of all ages and passing on her love for music and trumpet. Her goal is to keep new trumpet players engaged by catering lessons toward each students’ method of learning, and making practice fun. She currently teaches lessons privately online.
